Special Occasion Hair Design understands that planning a wedding can get very expensive and that budgets vary from bride to bride. We are in business to make sure that you look your best on the biggest day of your life. Often times brides overlook the importance of perfect hair and makeup. After spending all of the countless hours searching for the perfect dress and the right photographer, your hair and makeup should be just as special. Your photographs will last a lifetime, it is our job to make sure you look timeless in them.
Bridal consultation
Normally consultations are scheduled 4-6 weeks before your event. A typical consultation for hair and makeup takes no more than 2 hours on average. During this appointment we will do a thorough verbal consultation, allowing you to share your ideas and determine which hair styles and makeup will work the best for you and your event. We will do a preview of the hair and makeup so that you know what to expect on the wedding day. Extensive notes and makeup colors will be recorded for use on the day of the event. On the day of your consultation all of your event timings and number of services being rendered will be finalized. We recommended that you have all of this information by that time. With that being said, we understand complications may arise and we are willing to accommodate any hectic schedule.
Bridesmaids/Junior Bridesmaids
On the day of your event, we will do a quick verbal run through with everyone receiving services. This will help us determine the appropriate needs and services to ensure everyone gets done in a timely manner.
As for the younger members of your party, after a quick consult with the bride, the parents and of course the young lady herself, we will be happy to provide them with the same professional services as the rest of the bridal party. All makeup and hair will always be age appropriate.
Makeup
We specialize in natural looking photography makeup. We will always take into consideration each brides personal style and overall desired wedding day look. We believe in making you look good for your pictures and feel beautiful for your family and friends. Each bride will have a personalized look to make them feel even more beautiful on their 'special' day. Our goal as your personal stylist is to find that flawless look you desire.
Lashes
Lashes are always included for the bride. We use individual lashes for a more natural, airy feel. Strips are available by special request but are not recommended for all events as they are heavier and harder to wear for an extended period of time.
Lashes can be provided for members of the bridal party for an additional fee.
